Description

Moose on the Loose commands spectacular year-round views of the town of Breckenridge as well as the surrounding mountains from its perch on the mountainside.

Whether visiting Breckenridge for an exciting winter experience or a relaxing summer escape, this is the ideal residence for multiple families or groups of up to twelve friends wanting well-appointed accommodations with convenient access to the ski slopes and a three-minute drive to Main Street’s vast collection of shops and local restaurants.

Upon entering this stunning home, all eyes are drawn to the massive wall of windows in the main level Great Room. Relax in the private hot tub on the large deck or in front of the wrap-around fireplace in the comfortably furnished living room- everywhere in this home you’ll delight in the views of town and the surrounding mountains.

On the opposite side of the double-sided fireplace from the living room is a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. This is a kitchen stocked for chefs- in addition to the basic tools, you’ll find a slow cooker, food processor, stand mixer, air fryer, and blender. There’s a Keurig duo coffee machine, which makes single pods or you can fresh grind coffee and make a full pot. And outside you’ll find a gas grill.

Amenity extras at Moose on the Loose include a private hot tub; a steam shower; two king master bedrooms with private balconies; 2 fire places; a pool table; playstation 2; astounding views of the mountains; and a large heated garage with plenty of ski storage. And while we can’t guarantee wildlife, the home is named for a reason! Proudly managed and maintained by River Ridge Rentals.

The house is wonderful, it's very well maintained. The Hot Tub might have the best view in all of Breckenridge! The kitchen is fully stocked if you like to cook. Plenty of space for 3 small families to stretch out and be comfortable and the 3 king bedrooms make 3 families comfortable. The only slight downside is that the bunk room doesn't have a bathroom, so kids have to traverse the stairs in the night.

1. I asked for early check-in and was told no, so we didn't leave Denver until 2:30 to arrive at 4pm, only to receive early check-in approval at 3pm and we were still an hour away. Because both vehicles were fully loaded, we had to unload before picking up 9 equipment rentals. That led to problem #2.2. I booked two luxury AWD SUVs from Enterprise in March 2023 to haul six grandkids and six adults with gear and food up to Breckenridge. Friday December 22, 2023 Enterprise tells me they have no cars. By Saturday morning I have two SUVs, an AWD and 2WD, so fully loaded we had to leave some items at home. On arrival, both vehicles slid down the icy driveway. When attempting to head out for the equipment rentals after unloading, we could only get the AWD out and after reporting then problem to the PM, rather than being understanding of the cards dealt me by Enterprise, the PM proceeded to lecture me that it was my problem and no plowing would occur until/less 4" of snowfall was recorded in a 24 hour period. That was an unacceptable, necessitating an evening rental run and another the next morning rental run, resulting in a very late arrival for my granddaughter at BOECs adaptive program and late starting times for the remaining 10 skiers.While corrective measures to plow the driveway did occur the following days, refills for empty soap dispensers delivered and a late checkout granted that we ultimately didn't use, I expected five start service to accompany a five star property at the onset and was sorely disappointed.The "Overall" and "Property Location" lost a star each due to the frozen driveway situation which was a clear "Safety" issue.

MOTL is a spacious home!We took our now college grads/young prof children and they all had space to check in to work,rest and catch-up with mom & dad. When not on the slopes, our family cooked together, played games,and caught up on Christmas movies in the evenings. Breck is such a charming town and we recommend the fresh Crepes a la Cart for a delicious treat, the Blue Moose for breakfast, Downstairs at Eric's for delicious pizza,and the craft beer places had great food, too! This trip,we booked a snow mobile excursion on Turquoise Lake and all I can say is WOW!!! MOTL has spectacular views,was very clean,and and was a wonderul place to call 'home' for a week! (we had no real issues, but a phone call to management was promptly answered with friendliness and a quick resolution). Book this place, you won't regret it.

Everything we needed! Beauty, convenience, scenic views, customer service, etc. Three generations enjoyed our stay. Rooms for us all. Pool and game tables got a work out at night. Kitchen helped us cut costs. Views from the master are the best in the house and a waking experience to be enjoyed. We hope for a future return.

This house is amazing - just as shown in the listing. There were 12 of us and every single one of us was amazed by the view that greeted us each morning. There was plenty of sleeping space and all were comfortable. Management company is incredible - extremely responsive to requests. We highly recommend booking this beautiful home for your next vacation!

House is great. View of the Breck Valley is awesome. Deck is where we spent most of the mornings and evenings. Hot tub was nice and hot and killer views. The kitchen has one of the best supply of cooking supplies I have ever seen at a VRBO. The customer service was great. Check in was simple. All texts or emails unless issue. Had a coffee maker stop working. They brought another one in under 2 hours!!! Saved the morning!! Pool table was great for family competitions!! Would and will be back. Great property.

We stayed for a weekend in late August for a relaxing get away. The house was amazing and the view from our hot tube was one of the best views we saw all weekend. River ridge rentals was always a text away while never being intrusive. Overall, the stay was excellent and we are planning a return trip with the whole family next year.

The house was absolutely beautiful and the views were even better! The staff were extremely helpful but text also! A+ The only thing I’d ask for is the kitchen to be stocked better with utensils and enough silverware and such! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Incredible rental property! We loved this home and all of the amenities. The management company was very helpful and responsive with any of our needs. The hot tub, the views, the cozy living room, tons of sleeping space, the fireplace in the master bedroom..all of it was perfect!

The location of this house was perfect for exploring Breckinridge, Vail, Frisco and all the trailheads nearby. The Mountain View’s are spectacular from the house. The house is a perfect size for a large group, plenty of room to spread out.

We had a great time with this beautiful house!! We saw Moose, fox and the views of Breck is breath taking!! We played a lot of games and enjoyed the hot tub. It is about a 5 minute drive to the town and the parking in Breck is expensive.

Moose on the Loose was a perfect home away from home for us. The house has plenty of room to relax after a full day of activities. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the grill was fantastic too. Every morning we woke up to an amazing view of the sunrise and the views of the town were awesome all day long. There is nothing to complain about with this property. It was fantastic and we would definitely rent here again.

We couldn't be more impressed with the property, the surroundings, the customer service, or the management group. They were fantastic to work with. If you think the pictures of the house and property look good online, they are nicer in person. We were concerned they were taken after it was built and that the property or house might not be as nice after it was used over the years. Could not have been more wrong. We walked in with our mouths opened. It is stunning. The views are stunning. The house is beautiful and clean. The main bedroom and bathroom is phenomenal. We spent the week in the house and got engaged close by. The house was a pivotal part of our memories and we will be staying again. Before our stay, there was an issue with the fridge. The property group texted us, let us know it wasn't a major issue and we could still use it, let us know when the service team was coming, and were extremely gracious about the issue. It was professional, transparent, and it would make me proud as an owner of that group. Overall, this is worth the time, money, and effort. It was by far one of the nicest houses available, and for the views/amenities/customer service, I'm shocked it wasn't more.

Long Weekend in Breck with Friends

We had a great stay with friends from out of town. Property was as described and was comfortable for our group of 7. Management was very responsive on some minor issues and fixed them within 24 hours. We loved the hottub and pool table and had a great time relaxing in the house after a long day of skiing. Would definitely book again!

The place is absolutely beautiful. The space was great. I loved that the bedrooms had just enough separation and some of separate floors for privacy. The view of the mountains was incredible. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. it was also just 10 minutes from the Main St in Breckenridge where all the night life and shops are located. Be prepared for driving the mountains. I am from the Midwest, so we were not prepared for how high into the mountains we would be, but that is probably our own fault for not researching or thinking it all the way through. It does not change my experience of the stay or the home, but be prepared if you are mostly a city driver. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle as well.

We had a great rental experience with River Ridge at Moose on the Loose. The house was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. The location was great and the views were magnificent. River Ridge provides all the paper products for your stay...we didn’t find any paper towels and they sent someone out with them immediately. Small gestures go a long way! We knew there was no bathroom near the bunk room, but guests felt it was only a little inconvenient. The heated garage is great for ski gear storage or to thaw out a frozen car. We cooked a lot of meals for our large party and the kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need. We would recommend Moose on the Loose and would definitely stay there again!
