No matter the time of year, you can expect to find plenty of luxurious amenities and high-end activity opportunities across the town. In the spring and summer, for example, you can grab a set of golf clubs and head to the beautiful Copper Creek Golf Course. There’s also a wonderful selection of local shops to peruse throughout the Copper Mountain Village, and plenty of great dining options for every meal of the day!

Hiking 14ers & Other Great Trails

Any trip to Colorado from late spring through fall pretty much requires taking a couple hikes. While the views from town are fantastic in their own regards, you’ll definitely want to lace up your boots and hit the trails to find the truly jaw-dropping scenes. For anyone looking to take an easy to moderate trek, you can’t go wrong with the 2.3-mile looped Hallelujah Nature trail. However, to get the ultimate Colorado experience, we suggest taking on one of the many 14,000’ peaks (14ers for short) located in summit county. Two great 14ers to hike near Copper Mountain are Quandary Peak and Mt Lincoln.

Rafting The Upper Colorado River

Another great summer staple activity available across Colorado is whitewater rafting and kayaking. Copper Mountain is no exception to this, offering class I-III rafting through scenic canyons along the Upper Colorado River. This level of whitewater is perfect for both beginners and experienced rafters since the Upper Colorado provides consistent fun splashes along with a couple more exciting class III drops to get that adrenaline pumping. Along with the whitewater, rafting the Upper Colorado River provides stunning views that you can’t get from any other vantage point!

Those looking for more amusement-park type activities will love Copper Mountain’s Rocky Mountain Coaster, zip line course, and go-kart track. If you’re a parkour and action sports enthusiast, you’ll want to check out the Barn at the Woodward Copper campus. Lastly, for a fun and low-key experience, you can play the Copper Mountain 9-hole disc golf course.
